Serve

We are a community deeply invested in the community around us: inside our walls, in our neighborhood, and in our global family.

Serve our Church

Find fellowship and fun, and part of the team through a variety of opportunities to get involved:

Sunday Morning Greeters

Our greeters facilitate worship at our Sunday services and information to our first-time visitors. We coordinate snacks and coffee for our services and periodically host New Member classes for newcomers that want to know more about our church and what we believe. Our focus is on communicating warmth to make everyone feel welcome at Celebration.

Party Team

On the Party Team, our mission is to make sure that Celebration remains a FUN place to get serious about God by planning events and celebrations. We welcome people onto our team who enjoy organizing events and brainstorming new ways to celebrate together. We also love volunteers who can give time behind the scenes to set up and/or clean up for barbecues, potlucks, holidays and other parties.

Acts 1:8 Team

Acts 1:8 makes it clear that Jesus calls His followers to a mission: to serve around the world, starting in our very own community and reaching to the furthest point on the globe. Are you passionate about serving the Virgina Village neighbors? Or serving in homeless ministry, or overseas on missions? The Acts 1:8 team is the perfect place for you. See our Local Partners and our Global Partners for projects we support.

TLC Team

Our “Tender Loving Care” ministry facilitates congregational care for Celebration, including a meal ministry, hospital visitation, and our prayer team. If you are a prayer warrior or if you like to cook meals, visit folks at home or in the hospital, send sympathy cards, or have the gift of compassion and mercy, then our TLC ministry is for you.

Tool Belt Team

Around Celebration, we like to say that we do “major ministry in modest facilities.” The Tool Belt Team exists to help care for our facilities and grounds and to connect people who like to work with their hands. If you have a skill in any of the trades, gardening, or just like to help out with things like window washing, dusting, vacuuming, or taking out the trash, we could use your help to keep our space a beautiful place for God.

Children's Ministry

Our Children’s Ministry provides safe, nurturing care for little ones and a rich, fun Sunday School experience for school-aged children. We are always in need of more loving teachers and helpers to pour into our kids. If your heart is for children, there is a place for you in our Children’s Ministry.

AV Team

The AV Team is a crucial part of making our Sunday morning service happen for both those in person and attending online. We are always open to more people joining the team! Expertise not required; we are happy to train you.

Serve our Community

Our local ministry partners are committed to bringing God's love, mercy, and justice to the city. With a shared vision and strength in numbers, we are grateful to serve and support each, and invite you to learn more:

Urban Leadership Coaching

Where Grace Abounds

100% Truth, 100% Grace: No Compromise. Where Grace Abounds sees itself as a third voice within society’s polarized attitudes about sexuality, particularly in battles over gay rights. The third voice agrees that people are free to make their own choices, including what they choose to do about their sexual attractions, but disagrees that abstinence is damaging to people. WGA believes all sexual sinners are in the same boat, whether heterosexual or homosexual, and that God’s forgiveness is available to us all.

Light of the Nations

Light of the Nations is a Denver church for all people that exists to glorify God through the expression of love among the nations of the world existing together in the Denver area.

Serve our World

Missions trips are powerful, life-changing experiences that will challenge and encourage you to re-examine the way you follow Jesus. Celebration has hosted missions trips to Mexico, Uganda and Vancouver, and partnered with other organizations sending people to Romania, Costa Rica, Kenya and more.

Whether you'd like to partner with an organization and arrange your own trip overseas, or prefer to donate your prayer or financial support to a global ministry, your gracious contribution allows us to expand the footprint of the love and support we're able to provide as a church community.

The Recreation Project

The Recreation Project exists to provide healing experiences to children who have been deeply wounded by their experiences of war, and to inspire resilience in conflict-scarred communities. The Recreation Project operates a ropes course in the forests of northern Uganda and runs adventure days where kids participate in team building activities and outdoor adventures. Our friends Ben Porter and Zach Hoins (Celebration members) live in Uganda with their families and run The Recreation Project.

Jesse & Haley Millar in Ethiopia

Our mission is to Spark a Missional Movement from Ethiopia to Africa and the rest of the world. To develop African money to sustain African missions. We do this while pastoring in our local community.
