There’s something about candles, or fires in the hearth, or Christmas lights on our trees and homes. Like a good friend, they make every situation “lighter.”
Do you love candles? A little light sets the tone for joy, or comfort, or peace. When things feel dark, we long for light. The Season of Advent is a time of waiting for the light during the darkest time of the year.
Today, as we end our advent season, we celebrate the coming of the light of Jesus Christ by learning from some unlikely characters who sought out the light and followed it until they found what they were looking for. Pastor Jared Mackey will bring us a message from God’s heart to ours in a sermon called “Wisdom of the Magi.”
