Have you ever given a nickname to an instrument or object like a car? Have you ever been given a nickname by a loved one?
There’s something about sweet nicknames that express beautiful terms of endearment. They take up residence in our hearts and whether given or received, they show that someone or something is beloved and delighted in. The truth is, God calls you His child and delights in you as a parent does in their beloved kids. It’s an unqualified belovedness that has nothing to do with what we do, only who we are in His eyes.
