Question: According to a recent survey, this is the number one thing people admit to taking from their place of work. What is it?
Answer: Pens and pencils!
A survey cited by The Interview Guys found that 42% of employees admitted to stealing pens and pencils from work. Number two was toilet paper. The most basic of items.
There is a message we receive from so many places in our world that there’s never enough of anything — love, money, food, etc. When we get the message over and over that we don’t have what we need, it can make us extremely anxious and worried about getting what we need, and holding back for ourselves what we perceive we might need in the future. The message of scripture is the opposite. God cares for us, His heart toward us is generous and lavish and He gives us more than enough, so we can be joyfully generous people just like our Savior. For the next few weeks we’ll explore this theme in a new sermon series called “More than Enough.”
