Question: By the time the average child graduates from high school, they will have eaten this over a thousand times. What is it?
Answer: A peanut butter and jelly sandwich!
That’s a lot of peanut butter sandwiches. If your child asked for a peanut butter & jelly sandwich, would give them a mustard and mayonnaise sandwich? Or an anchovy and pickle sandwich?
If we know better than to do that to our kids, how much more does God? Our God is a generous God who knows our needs better than we know ourselves. He hears our cries and responds to them with generosity. It’s easy to say in theory and often harder to trust in practice. Today, pastor Jill takes us to a familiar passage that addresses this subject in a sermon called “Keep Asking, Keep Seeking, Keep Knocking.”
