Sometimes common words or phrases we use might have different meanings given their context. They might even be called something different in a given time of history. For instance, what we might call devotional reading today, was called Lectio Divina in ancient forms of Christianity.
That’s what we’re going to talk about and spend some time participating in this Sunday. As we continue moving through the book of Daniel, we are going to participate in a group Lectio Divina and engage with God’s word in what might be a new or fresh way for you. Pastor Wes will lead us in this formational practice of engaging with scripture as we seek to encounter God in and through His word from Daniel Chapter 9. It might take longer than a jiffy, but it’s worth the time.
