Answer: A recipe!
Do you use recipes handed down from a previous generation? When Jesus appeared to His disciples after His resurrection, to show it was really Himself, He asked for something to eat. Guess what His disciples gave Him? Fish. I guess when you’re a fishing family you pass down recipes for cooking fish. Food and the recipes we use are uniquely human. They say something about who we are and where we’re from.
Seeing and experiencing Jesus eat something familiar would have reassured His followers that it was truly Jesus, alive and well after His crucifixion, death, and burial.
