Question: Originally believed to be an authentic original, this item is the most expensive counterfeit ever sold. What is it?

Answer: A copy of Leonardo da Vinci’s Salvator Mundi!

Sold at auction to the tune of 450 million dollars, it was later found to be an amazingly good copy. That’s a lot of money to spend on a fake!

In a world there are so many voices telling us what’s best for us, telling us where to spend our limited and precious time, energy, and talents to find life it’s truly life, we desperately need to hear the voice of our creator, who knows truly what’s best for us. So how do we make sure we’re hearing his true voice and not some counterfeit or pretender? That’s the subject of today’s sermon, and the series that Pastor Jill is kicking off in this season between New Year’s and Easter, called “How to Hear God.”
