Question: In a recent survey, it was found that 24% of Americans planned their entire Christmas Day schedule around this. What is it?

Answer: Sports!

Did you plan your Christmas celebrations around sports this year? It was nice that the Broncos played on Christmas night so we didn’t have to worry about that interfering with Christmas morning.

Whether it’s football happening almost every day during the holidays now, people getting sick, being on break from school, or just the craziness of life, it can be difficult to remember what day it is during the holidays. Sometimes knowing when and where we are is about more than just the day. Sometimes it’s a state of mind or season in life that leaves us feeling like we’re in limbo. Can God use the space and place I find myself in? Is this season wasted time? If you are, or have ever asked this question, you’re in good company. God’s people throughout history have asked these questions and felt these things. Even the “holy family” had seasons and situations that would have left us all feeling these things.

As we celebrate Christmas tide and prepare for the New Year, Pastor Jill brings a message called “Worshipping God in the Season You’re In.”
