Question: In a recent study, it was found that 24% of people will not do this alone. What is it?
Answer: Fly!
It was found that almost one quarter of the population won’t fly alone. There’s something about having someone with us that makes things feel safer, better, and even more hopeful and joyful. Even the scariest and most painful situations are more bearable when we have someone with us who cares for us.
God knows this too. It’s why thousands of years ago He told His people that He would send someone who would have the name “Immanuel” which means God with us. Our God enters into human history to be with His people, to change our situation from hopeless to hopeful; from joyless, to joyful, simply by His being with us. This morning, Pastor Jill continues our advent sermon series with a message called “The Good News That Brings Great Joy.”
