I think all of us who have ever been there can agree that a trip to the DMV for a loved one or friend is a real sacrifice of time, patience, and even joy.
As children of God, part of “Becoming the Beloved” is growing to be like our Savior in His life given away for others. It could be waiting in line at the DMV, sitting in a courtroom, taking out the trash without being asked, taking a meal to someone who is sick, or giving of our resources for the poor.
