If you’re a teenager, do you agree with this? If you’re an adult, did you think that was true when you were a teenager? Certainly having a job or career you enjoy can give our quality of every day life a real boost. The problem of course is that every job — no matter how good — can be lost, or changed because of all kinds of factors.
Jesus said that the most important thing in life was to love God and love others. He demonstrated this with His entire life as an offering of praise to God, giving himself away to others. It was the joy that was set before Him. According to Jesus and modern research, giving of ourselves to others is actually what leads to happiness, more than any job we could have.
