The God Who Splits the Sea
Passage: Exodus 14:15–14:31
Question: According to a new survey of families, the average woman does this 4 times a week, while the average man does it only once a week. What do they do?
Answer: Call their mother!
Maybe you do, or maybe you don't call your mom on a regular basis. Often we can count on our moms to be a listening ear, or a help in times of trouble and it's wonderful when they are (and you don't want to mess with a mom when their kid is in trouble).
But they aren't always. They can't always be there, and they aren't always willing to help.
The one person we can be certain will respond when we call, and says that He is an ever present help in times of trouble is our Heavenly Father. He is mighty to save, and promises to never leave us or forsake us. Spoiler alert: When the Hebrew people were at their most vulnerable and in need of protection, God responded and rescued them. Today Pastor Jill brings us a message of hope in times of trouble called "When God Splits the Sea." This Sermon has been Rated R for REAL.
