Question: Oregon, North Carolina, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Washington are the top six states for producing which item?
Answer: Christmas Trees!
Why did the Christmas tree get in trouble? It was knotty.
Why are Christmas trees more noticeable on Christmas? They have more presence.
Why are Christmas trees bad at sewing? They always drop their needles.
What side of a Christmas tree has the most needles? The outside.
But we digress. Who here put up a Christmas tree this year? Did you set up an artificial tree or a live tree? Did you buy it from a store or lot, or did you cut it down? When will your tree come down?
While it’s probably too late to put up a Christmas tree this year, it’s never to late, (or too early for that matter) for God to use you or do immeasurably more than you can ask or imagine in your life. Like a Christmas tree in the new year, you might feel like your time has passed, but God is still working and still has good plans for you.
Today pastor Jill will preach on this subject in a sermon called "Keep Your Eyes on the Prize." We’ll also hear stories of how God worked through some of you this Christmas!
