The Transformation Choice: Letting God Renovate Your Identity

February 3, 2019 Speaker: Wes Scheu Series: Life's Healing Choices

Passage: Matthew 5:6, Genesis 32:22–32:32

Movie clip from The Money Pit shown in sermon:

Question: For the average person, it take 5 tries to perfect one of these. What is it?
Answer: A selfie!

How many of you take selfies? Does that sound about right to you? How many of you don't take selfies at all?

You may or may not take seflies, but the truth is (if we all got really honest) there are things about ourselves like our behaviors, our triggers, and our pain that we'd like to change and make better. Last week Pastor Jill reminded us that we can't actually change ourselves. Many times we are the problem.

There's hope though, because we have a God who's in the business of making us our best selves when we bring all of ourselves to Him. Today Pastor Wes Scheu brings us a sermon on this very topic called "The Transformation Choice: Letting God Renovate Your Identity."  It's the next sermon in our "Life's Healing Choices" series.
