NEWS FROM THE CELEBRATION WEEKLY–February 16, 2012
Dear Church Family,
Here’s this week’s News You Can Use…
This Sunday, February 19 (at 9 & 10:45 am): ”Too many parents make life hard for their children by trying, too zealously, to make it easy for them.” – German Writer, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
While some of us may be guilty of such errors, our Heavenly Father is not. He allows those He loves to experience tremendous suffering, though never alone (John 16:33).
This Sunday, in Philippians 1:12-21, we will see how joy can be ours in even the darkest places. Steve’s message is called, “A Fully-Developed Theology of Suffering” (or, “If God Be For Us”).
Join us as we begin the Lenten season this Sunday with an emphasis on feeding your soul in the Word and invite a friend who’s soul may need some nourishment as well.
PRAYER REQUESTS
Bob Smith is going to Gabon in West Africa on February 23 as a volunteer with Engineering Ministries International. They are visiting a site to offer technical support to a development project which will include a medical facility, schools, housing for orphans and widows, a publishing house and airstrip. Pray for the success of the team in building relationships with the nationals, for flexibility, technical success and for traveling mercies. Also pray for boldness in building friendships and sharing their faith.
Continue to pray for Sibyl Struttman, Daniel Krasner’s aunt. She is gaining strength in her broken shoulder and may be able to go home. Pray that her medical and financial difficulties are resolved.
Prayer Request?
If you have a prayer request, please email it to prayer@thepartychurch.com. If the subject matter of your request is delicate or private, you can indicate that you’d like only the Prayer Team and Leadership Team to receive it. Otherwise, it will be printed in the Celebration Weekly and the Sunday bulletin for the whole congregation to pray about. Also—if you attend the chapel service, you can write down your prayer request and put it in the box at the welcome table.
