“There is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”
Luke 15:10

I am a sinner who has repented and come home to God. As a baptized believer in Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord I honestly desire to grow in my relationship with Christ and for my life to bring Him glory. I see the need to belong to a fellowship of believers in order to fulfill these purposes: 1) to exalt Christ, 2) evangelize the world, and 3) edify one another.

I realize the benefits of truly committing myself to a fellowship of believers who can provide opportunities for worship, teaching, training, support, encouragement, and accountability.

I embrace the vision and values which are represented in Celebration’s motto: “A fun place to get serious about God”:

  • Fun: Church is a “welcome home” party for lost & messed up people coming home to God: We must create an environment that is attractive, informal & fun.
  • Place: Church is a hospital for sinners, not a museum for saints. We must learn to accept human weakness and give one another lots of grace.
  • Serious: Church is a place to be real and honest. We must connect as a community of people serious about seeking God in His life-changing Word.
  • God: Church is a place where Jesus Christ is the Guest of Honor. We must come to church for His honor and glory — not our own. I understand that the mission of Celebration is to reach out to the diverse urban neighborhoods of east Denver and will pray for God’s guidance and provision.

I have enjoyed attending the party… now I want to help host it! As a member of Celebration Community Church, I make the following commitments:

  1. Generosity – cheerfully giving of my time, talents & finances.
  2. Hospitality – inviting friends, welcoming visitors, being nice to people!
  3. Honesty – sharing my story, dealing with my issues, giving others permission to be honest.
  4. Relationship – showing love, solving problems, resolving conflicts, avoiding gossip.
