Prodigal Gatherings provides safe places for homeless, runaway, street youth and children. They have a Coffee House for teens, a Club House for children and also do downtown outreach. "So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him." Luke 15:20

Scum of the Earth – One of the ministries we support is Scum of the Earth Church. It doesn't sound like a church name...on purpose. The goal is to connect with young adults who have no interest in "church" by society's definition. The name of the church comes from 1 Corinthians 4:11-13, "To this very hour we go hungry and thirsty, we are in rags, we are brutally treated, we are homeless. We work with our own hands. When we ar cursed, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it; when we are slandered, we answer kindly. Up to this moment we have become the scum of the earth, the refuse of the world." The pastor of Scum of the Earth is Mike Sares. Mike and his family also attend Celebration.

Mile High Ministries mobilizes and equips people to connect their lives to God’s active concern for the poor in Metropolitan Denver. Many Celebration members are volunteers or are on staff at Mile High Ministries. A few of the ministries of Mile High Ministries are:

  • Joshua Station is a faith-based community helping people make the transition to healthy interdependent living. Celebration has "adopted" two ajoining rooms. We painted, furnished and helped a family move into their new home.
  • Tabitha’s Kitchen - The restaurant at Joshua Station is back open for business. Our friend Carlos Chavez has re-opened Tabitha’s, featuring a menu he’s developed from lots of years in the business. Carlos has made some big changes. The restaurant looks really good, and the food is great.
  • The Issachar Community is a "training center for prophets" – prophetic people who will be equipped to respond to the challenges facing our urban neighborhoods with the gospel of Jesus. “Among King David’s mighty warriors were those from Issachar, who understood the times and knew what God’s people should do.” (I Chronicles 12:32)
  • The Christmas Store provides the opportunity for Moms and Dads to purchase brand new toys at 25% of the retail cost. The atmosphere of the store affirms and supports the parent’s efforts to provide for their families.  Parents are invited to participate by churches and ministries who serve the poor in Denver’s inner city.

Christ's Body Ministries endeavors to fulfill the example set by Christ. Their mission is to partner with the local church and the larger body of Christ, in the gospel of Jesus Christ, through loving service to poor and broken people of all ages and cultures, with personal relationships and witness, physical necessities, spiritual footing, and biblical work ethic training.

Where Grace Abounds - WGA exists to guide and support men and women who seek to understand sexuality and relationship and to inspire all people to know and personally appropriate God's plan for their sexuality and relationships. WGA was born out of the need to fill the vacuum created between blanket acceptance and approval of sexual behavior of any kind and total condemnation of the sexual sinner as worse than any other.
