What's Happening at Celebration

Summer Knitting
Knitters – mark your calendars! We’ll meet for knitting at Peaberry’s after the chapel service on July 20, and August 17. New folks are always welcome to join us.

World Vision Experience: AIDS – coming in July
6,000 children will lose one or both parents today to AIDS; they will join the
15 million who already have; 2.5 million are HIV+ themselves. Join Celebration friends at the World Vision Experience: AIDS (on July 6 at 4pm or July 8 at 7pm). This multi-media touring exhibit will allow you to walk through the life of an African AIDS-affected child and will equip you with ways that you can make a difference. If you would like more information on the exhibit, visit www.worldvisionexperience.org - if you would like to join our group as we visit the exhibit at Cherry Hills Community Church, contact Jennifer.

“Bring Your Own Mug”
Doesn’t your coffee or tea really taste better in a “real mug?” Doesn’t it bother you to think of how many foam cups we go through each Sunday? Here’s your chance to do something about it!

Mom’s Connection – special events for the summer
Moms, would you like a chance to fellowship with other moms of preschoolers who attend our church? Mom’s Connection will take a break from our regular schedule for the summer but we’ll still get together for special events – a day at the park, zoo, etc – with our kids.  For details on upcoming events, call Cindy N.

Wednesday Morning Bible Study
The Touch of Faith Bible Study meets every Wednesday morning from 10 to 11:30 am in the conference room next to the chapel.  We're currently studying the book, Great Themes of the Bible. Join us for fellowship and time in the Word.

Sunday Evening Men’s Bible Study
We meet twice a month on the second and fourth Sundays to discuss books, scripture and life.  We are starting a new study this spring on the amazing and frustrating life of King David. We are following a book study by Max Lucado entitled Facing Your Giants. The group is open to all and we encourage you to give it a try.

20-somethings | Young Adults
Bible Study on Sundays at 6 pm
Whether you are married or single, check the group out!
Movie night on the 3rd Sunday of every month at 6 pm. We'll be watching obscure movies and just having some fellowship.

Small Groups meet at neighborhood homes one evening during the week. They are a great way to get to know people better, to share life and to study and understand the Bible better. Click here for more information.

The Prayer Team at Celebration is made up of about 8 members who love to pray for others. Our mission is to appeal to God on behalf of people in need of grace and to strive to inspire and equip others at Celebration to do the same. We did a half-day prayer retreat in March for our congregation. Folks can send prayer requests to be shared only within the prayer team or to be printed in the church-wide weekly email (Celebration Weekly) and Sunday bulletin. We will pray faithfully for you.

Do you need a good resource to help you prepare for your small group, teaching Sunday School or your personal Bible study? Check out Bible Gateway.com . It's a free service for reading and researching Scripture online – all in the language or translation of your choice. They provide advanced tools you can use to search the Bible by keywords or verse, as well as other tools to enhance your study of the Bible.

"Become a living prayer this week by writing a letter, donating food, visiting the sick, or setting a relationship right. In doing so you might just become someone else's answer to prayer."
-Richard Foster
